The agreement between you and Cadence for using the app.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
By creating a Cadence account you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Cadence.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Cadence. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate. We may ask for verification at any time and may suspend accounts we cannot verify.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. One account per person; impersonating someone else or creating a profile for anyone but yourself is not allowed.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines: no harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, scams, spam, or impersonation. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, at our discretion, with or without notice for serious violations.
You keep ownership of the photos, bio, and messages you post. By posting them you grant Cadence a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the service (e.g. showing your profile to prospective matches). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you post, and for not posting anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.
Cadence offers an optional paid subscription ("Pro") that unlocks additional features. Pricing, billing cycle, and cancellation are covered in our Subscription & Refund Terms. Prices may change with advance notice; continuing to use Pro after a price change means you accept the new price from your next billing cycle.
Cadence is a platform for meeting people — we do not conduct criminal background checks on users and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of anyone you interact with. Meet in public places, tell a friend your plans, and use the in-app "share your run" safety feature. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
Cadence is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee you will find a match or that the service will be error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cadence and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for the conduct of other users, whether online or in person. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use Cadence after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence under EU law.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to cadencedating@gmail.com or through Contact Support in Settings.
